This is a letter from M. Wylie to T. J. Wallace. The letter concerns Robert Stouppe (b. 1896) a jeweller from County Down. The letter states that Attorney General James Campbell (1851-1931) has not proceeded with a case against Robert Stouppe and that he is no longer in custody. It goes on to inquire as to whether he has left to join his family in New-Zealand. The letter claims that Stouppe is no longer detained under the Crown and that the state will not be responsible for further allowances. It then goes on to state M. Wylie should submit an account of the expenses. There is a side note from a Sergeant Duffy of the Royal Irish Constabulary, stating that Mr Stouppe had been informed.
