This is a pass issued by the military to Edward Walsh (d. 1935), an employee of the Great Southern and Western Railway at Kingsbridge Station (now Heuston Station), to allow him to travel in Dublin in the aftermath of the Easter Rising. Walsh was living on North Circular Road and was also a colleague of Seán Heuston (1891-1916) who was executed for his part in the Rising. Heuston addressed one of his last letters to Walsh. Also pasted above is another similar pass issued to Walsh around the same time.
